Melissa K. Ayres is Office Manager for Cedar Mill Mortgage, a leader in the mortgage industry providing Conventional, FHA and VA residential mortgages in Georgia since 1996.

Melissa is a veteran in the mortgage industry with over 28 years of financial experience.  She started her career in finance in 1985 after graduating from Augusta Technical College, Augusta, GA.  She managed several finance offices in GA and FL, supervised underwriting and processing for large mortgage companies in Atlanta, GA until joining Cedar Mill Mortgage in 1998.

Melissa met her husband, Bain, Founder and President of Cedar Mill Mortgage while managing a finance office in Athens, GA.   Bain was managing a finance office for the same company in Seattle, WA.  They met at a Managers meeting and soon the company agreed to move them to FL where they could both manage offices and live close to each other.  No more long distance relationship, they were married soon after.

They later transferred to the Atlanta area, Melissa’s native home town,  which they now call their permanent home where they are raising their two children and started their business over 17 years ago.   They both love working directly with their clients, providing them with the absolute best customer service so when you close your loan with Cedar Mill Mortgage you will have a pleasant lending experience.

When Melissa is not working she is riding her favorite horse, Outlaw, all through the woods in the North GA Mountains.  She also loves to garden and spend lots of quality time with her family and friends.
